No warning, no impact. Just a crack. Usually, it&amp;rsquo;s because the inside of the glass cooled at a different speed than the outside. That creates internal stress, and eventually, the glass gives up.&#xA;To stop that from happening, you need a cooling ramp that&amp;rsquo;s dialed in perfectly. The problem is that standard thermocouples are kind of clunky. They lag. They don&amp;rsquo;t actually tell you what the surface of the glass is doing.&#xA;That&amp;rsquo;s why we use IR sensors with 0.1°C precision.
