How it actually works
Here’s the thing: most heaters just warm up the air. That’s fine, but it doesn’t do much for the wet spots in your shower. We use short-wave infrared (SWIR). Instead of heating the air, this goes straight for the surface. It sinks into the grout and the sealant, pushing the moisture out fast. It’s like a quick-dry for your walls. When you get that water out of the cracks, mold doesn’t really have a place to start.
The guts of the machine
We don’t cut corners on the materials. We use tungsten filaments and high-purity quartz glass. Why quartz? Because steam is brutal. Cheap glass clouds up or degrades, but quartz handles the humidity without breaking a sweat. And there’s no waiting around. You flip the switch, and you have heat.Right now. We also seal the connectors. If you’ve ever seen a cheap fixture rust or corrode because of the steam, you know why we do this. We keep the electrical bits airtight so they don’t rot away.
A few things to keep in mind
Now, these lamps pack a punch. Because the heat is so concentrated, you have to be careful where you put them. If you mount a high-wattage lamp too close to a plastic fixture or some cheap acrylic, you might actually warp the material. It’s all about the distance. You just need to pick the right spot based on how powerful the lamp is. At the end of the day, we’re trying to find that sweet spot between “toasty” and “bone dry.” It turns a basic heater into something that actually keeps your bathroom healthier.
