Getting the heat right
If your heat isn’t uniform, you get internal stress in the glass. Simple as that. We don’t guess on the specs; we build the lamps based on the voltage and wattage you’re already using. If you’re running long, high-wattage tubes, we balance the filament load. Why? Because nobody wants “cold spots” ruining a batch of glass. Now, high power density is great for heating things up fast, but it can be hard on your gear. Just double-check that your controllers can handle the inrush current. If they can’t, you’re just asking for the lamps to burn out early.
The build and the fit
We use high-purity quartz glass. It has to be this way to survive the thermal shock of an annealing cycle without cracking. Depending on what you need, you can go with clear tubes or coated ones. The coated versions shift the emission spectrum, which means the glass absorbs the heat better and you stop wasting energy. As for the wiring? We use standard R7s or SK15 connectors. You can just plug them in and get back to work without having to tear apart your machine housing.
A few things to keep in mind
Our goal is a perfect fit. We match your dimensions to the millimeter so the lamps sit exactly where they should in your reflectors. But here’s the thing: if you decide to bump up the wattage to speed up your process, the inside of your machine is going to get a lot hotter. Make sure your cooling fans and vents can keep up. If they can’t, you might actually warp the machine frame. We’ll give you the exact thermal output data upfront. That way, you can check your cooling capacity before you even install the lamps.
